A year after its debut, an ambitious training program through the Mississippi Center for Emergency Services has taken the state by storm and attracted national media attention. It’s called STORK, and it teaches rural first responders and ER staff how to recognize pregnant moms having crisis deliveries and stabilize them – and by doing that, save their newborns. | |
