Using a holistic approach and an interdisciplinary team of investigators and community partners, Dr. Lei Zhang strives to help prevent gun violence and violence against women.

Stephanie and Mitchell Morris’ gift will fund the purchase of endoscopes and create an endowment to support the center and its research and care. The center, part of Children’s of Mississippi, includes the state’s only cleft and craniofacial care teams certified by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

Nicki Lawson believed for a long time that there was only one health care career for her. But, thanks to the words and deeds of colleagues and friends at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, her mind, and career path, have changed.

New faculty member Dr. Leigh Holley is assistant dean for the Oxford Instructional Site, where the School of Nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center offers a year-long accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The program graduates about 70 students each year, a number Holley hopes to see grow.
