Just because the COVID-19 vaccine is free doesn't mean it's easy to get. Many of those served by the student-run Jackson Free Clinic can't access the Internet to make appointments to get the shot at state-run, drive-through operations. The clinic has stepped up, providing the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine to an ever-changing patient base.

Twice as Bright doubles April gifts to Children's campaign

Throughout April, giving to the fund to help pay for the Kathy and Joe Sanderson Tower can be twice as nice. The Texas-based Madison Charitable Foundation will double every gift made this month to the Campaign for Children’s of Mississippi up to $100,000. A COVID-19-safe drive-through giving event is planned for April 29.
