UMMC’s first new school in 15 years played host to a ribbon cutting and open house Tuesday. John D. Bower School of Population Health faculty and staff welcomed guests to tour the school's space in the Translational Research Center.

After suffering a spinal injury in a car accident, Summer Jefferson, a biochemistry major at the University of Mississippi, was determined to return to Ole Miss for her senior year. It seemed an unlikely goal – until a unique arrangement was formed with students in the Accelerated B.S.N. Program in Oxford.

An assistant professor of neurology lands a major Neurocritical Care Society award; UMMC's preventive medicine chair earns a national review committee appointment; a leadership and workforce development director is elected president of a statewide association; and UMMC's dermatology chair is named to the CHPE Liaison Committee.
