Two distinguished graduates of the School of Medicine along with six eminent Medical Center figures were saluted last week during the UMMC Medical Alumni Awards Dinner. The event was a highlight of three days of activities marking the 2019 reunion of six medical school classes.

The national Women’s Interagency HIV Study, which has had a site in Jackson since 2013, will combine with the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study to form a new study. The research will focus on the impact of HIV and its long-term treatment on other chronic health conditions.

The University of Mississippi Medical Center garnered 98 new and continuing grants and awards from April-June 2019, totaling $24,358,526. Click below to see which UMMC faculty and fellows received the largest new and competitive renewal awards during the quarter.
