Current and former School of Nursing faculty and students gathered Friday afternoon to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Medical Center’s second-oldest school. The festivities included tours of the simulation lab; booths loaded with information about school-based clinics and other SON projects; and a panel of alumni representing each of the last seven decades.

The Campus Master Plan is the driving force behind the Medical Center's ongoing construction efforts, but a common theme of recent renovations is coming into focus: increasing capacity to meet the health care needs of all Mississippians.

Rumor has it that, after its next season, the long-running TV medical series “Grey’s Anatomy” might have dispensed its last I.V. and post-trauma martini. A survey of medical students and residents reveals whether their favorite medical-themed shows were relevant, entertaining or just plain wrong.

Several interesting events are scheduled for the upcoming weeks at the Medical Center.
