For some time, the State of Mississippi has seen a shortage of histotechnologists - members of the medical laboratory team who prepare tissue samples for analysis to diagnose disease and other abnormalities. A donation of about $200,000 worth of refurbished lab equipment to UMMC has been a real shot in the arm to the histotechnology program in the School of Health Related Professions. |
