A new Children's Cancer Center director has plans to expand the work of his predecessors. Dr. Anderson Collier said he looks forward to the advantages the Children’s of Mississippi expansion will bring once its construction outside the CCC's back door is completed.

Sideways is no way to navigate any stretch of rapids, much less the churning waters of the Colorado River. But that’s the position medical student William Salaun found himself in this past spring – hemmed in by the looming bluffs of the Grand Canyon and a white-water menace.

Everyone knows the girl who just wants to have fun. Music icon Cyndi Lauper will hit the stage at Jackson’s Thalia Mara Hall Oct. 25 in a benefit concert to support The MIND Center. Proceeds will help boost the center’s research into Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as a new research project, The MIND Center-Mayo Clinic Study of Aging.
