Having the support of friends and family improves a patient’s mental and emotional status and enhances their medical progress as they navigate the pitfalls of cancer. By providing transportation, meals, house cleaning, yard cutting, child care and more, care givers buoy a loved one in cancer treatment or recovery.

SHRP faculty navigating the school's promotion and tenure process now have a more structured route to follow, thanks to a five-year strategic plan that has yielded a detailed rubric; informative policy and procedures; and a more interactive electronic portfolio system.
