Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD, ADD)

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is one of the most commonly diagnosed developmental disorder. However, it can not only affect children, but also teens and adults. Characteristics of ADHD include prolonged difficulty paying attention or keeping focused on a task, difficulty with behavioral control such as following instructions, and hyperactivity – literally too much energy.

However, ADHD can be easily confused with other problems such as not getting enough rest, so it is important to have your child evaluated and treated by highly trained professionals, such as those at the Center for the Advancement of Youth (CAY).
