Student and Graduate Opportunities

ta---students-and-graduates.jpgNurse graduates

  • UMMC hires nurses pending their completion of the NCLEX and graduation as a nurse graduate. Nurse graduate requisitions are posted three times a year, each prior to your graduation whether it be in the spring, fall or summer that you graduate.
  • UMMC requires new nurse graduates to participate in our transition program. Transition is a 12-month program that establishes a nursing foundation by building confidence through competence. Interactive forums are a combination of classroom style and unit-based education. The unit-based forums are specific to patient populations and unit specific needs. All content is taught by subject matter experts. Participants are highly encouraged to provide feedback in order to constantly improve the transition program.
